Transformed Freedom Initiative (TFI) is a trans refugee-led community organization based in Kenya, dedicated to protecting, empowering, and uplifting transgender refugees and asylum seekers. Founded on lived experience, we provide safe shelter, healing and wellness support, leadership development, advocacy training, and economic empowerment opportunities that help our community rebuild their lives with dignity. At TFI, we believe every transgender refugee deserves safety, belonging, and the opportunity to thrive. Together, we are transforming hardship into hope, creating pathways to resilience, visibility, and lasting change.
